CHEMICAL PEELS
Beauty Benefits
Exfoliates the outermost layers of damaged, dull or discolored skin cells to reveal the softer, smoother, healthy skin beneath.
How do chemical peels work?
This rejuvenating treatment causes the regeneration of new skin cells to occur at a faster rate than they would naturally. Chemical peels involve the use of a topical exfoliating solution. Applied to the skin, chemical peels remove the dead and damaged outer layers of skin to expose the soft, healthy and radiant skin beneath. Chemical Peels come in a variety of strengths and can be individualized for you specific skin care needs. Chemical peels can help with several skin conditions including:
- Acne
- Congested skin
- Skin discolorations
- Dull, aging skin
- Sun damaged skin
- Smoker's skin

What does a chemical peel cost?
Raya MedSpa offers several mild to medium grade chemical peels which are safe for most skin types. We do NOT offer deeper 'medical-grade' phenol peels, as this is best performed by a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Our chemical peels range in price from $75-$175 depending on peel-depth.
What can I expect during a chemical peel?
After the skin is cleansed, the exfoliation solution will be applied to the skin. The reaction of the individual will determine how many layers are applied. After the chemical peel treatment, a soothing masque will be applied to the skin.
Do chemical peels hurt?
Some clients feel a slight tingling sensation when the solution is applied.
How long does the treatment take?
A chemical peel takes 30-45 minutes depending on the strength of the peel and how many layers are applied.
What can I expect after a chemical peel?
Most clients do not experience any symptoms after the chemical peel. A post-peel home care pack and instructions are given to each client. A light flaking or peeling of the skin may be noticed 3-5 days post-peel.
How many treatments will I need?
Treatments can be performed every 14 days, depending on the strength of the peel. Chemical peels are most effective when performed as part of a regular maintenance program.
Risks
The lesser strength peels have virtually no risks. The strongest peel has a mild risk of scarring or skin discoloration changes. Permanent side effects are rare.
