LASER VEIN REMOVAL

Beauty Benefits

Safely and effectively removes unwanted spider veins on the legs and broken blood vessels on the face or body without painful injections or surgery.

How does laser vein removal treatment work?
Laser vein removal treatments are a safe, non-surgical method for removing unwanted leg or facial leg veins.  Low energy laser-light is applied to the skin, passing harmlessly through the upper 'epidermal' skin and into the deeper 'dermal' layers.  Upon reaching a blood vessel the laser-light delivers a controlled amount of therapeutic heat to the targeted blood vessels causing them to close and eventually fade from sight.  Treatments are comfortable and usually take less than 30 minutes. Laser vein removal treatments are safe, gentle and effective for men and women.

What does a laser vein removal treatment cost?

Laser vein removal pricing depends on the size and number of areas being treated. Pricing ranges from $199 and up per session. All consultations are FREE.

How do I prepare for a laser vein removal treatment?
Clients scheduled for laser vein treatment should make certain the skin is thoroughly cleansed and dried, removing any cosmetics, oils, creams or self-tanning lotions before laser treatment. Comfortable, loose fitting clothing that allows easy access to the treatment area should be worn. Prior to laser vein treatment please avoid direct sun exposure or sun tanning booths for two or more weeks.

What can I expect during a laser vein removal treatment?
Treatment will take place in our office. You will wear safety goggles to protect your eyes from the laser light. The laser practitioner will apply the laser to the treatment area with a small hand piece. Each laser pulse will be preceded and followed by a short burst of cooling spray that blankets the skin providing a localized 'numbing' effect. Ice may be applied to the treated area immediately afterwards.

Does laser vein removal hurt?
Our advanced laser technology allows for comfortable application. The discomfort associated with laser vein removal treatments is very tolerable and requires NO anesthesia.  Discomfort levels often vary with the width and location of the blood vessel being treated.  Some clients relate the laser sensation as being similar to the 'snap' of a rubber band.

How long does the treatment take?
Laser vein removal treatments can last several minutes to two hours, or more, depending on the size and number of areas being treated.

What can I expect after laser vein removal treatment?
Immediately following your laser treatment, redness and mild swelling are often noted in the treated areas. Over the next few days, the treated areas may remain slightly swollen and localized bruising may appear. This is considered part of the ‘normal-healing’ process and usually lasts for a short time. It is recommended that heavy physical exertion and exercise involving the legs be avoided for 24-48 hours following treatment. Although not required, clients may wear compression stockings or nylons for several days post treatment.  This can help speed up healing time and minimize bruising.  Sun exposure on the treated areas should be strictly avoided for 14 days following treatment and an SPF of 30 or above should be applied.

Are there side effects associated with laser vein treatments?
Laser vein removal treatments are safe and effective. Most people experience little discomfort and often resume daily activities immediately. Temporary side effects usually resolve in a short amount of time and may include: redness, bruising, swelling, localized discomfort, blistering and changes in skin color. Permanent side effects are rare.

How many treatments will I need?
The number of laser treatment sessions required for acceptable vein reduction depends on the size and location of the veins being treated. The average number of treatments is three and treatments are generally spread four to six weeks apart. On occasion, additional treatments may be necessary to achieve the desired results. Veins on the face often respond quicker than veins on the legs.
