How does it work?
The process is called pixilation. Small pin-sized laser points are applied by the laser. This preserves normal tissue between the points, accelerating healing time. Side effects are minimal and typically involve mild-to-moderate redness, occasional puffiness under the eyes, and a moderate 'sun-burned' feeling that usually subsides in a very short amount of time. Skin may also appear to have a bronzed appearance for several days. Routine activities can be resumed immediately after treatment. Make-up may be worn the next day if desired. Many patients see improvement in discoloration and texture immediately followed by improvement in wrinkles and scars within weeks.
How many treatments are needed and how often can I be treated?
The number of Pixel treatments required for best results depends on the starting point and condition of your skin. Clients with significant signs of aging, acne scarring, stretch marks or wrinkles will require more visits than the average person. Treatments are usually performed 3 to 5 weeks apart.
